When you have brought your desired tiles and Weber.Tai fix to bond them on your floor, now it is turn to select the area of installation. The tile layering substrate must be flat, without large cracks, free from brittle and foreign bodies such as grease, paint, oil and etc. take a clean bucket to mix the powder with water. It is easy and simple to mix Weber.Tai Fix with water to make a good paste of it. It is also easy to use and helps to fasten your work quicker. The water you use to make the mixture should be at room temperature. Mix by the weight ratio of 1 part water per 4 parts of adhesive. Mix it rapidly using a trowel so that no lump can produce, mix it well until it form a good uniform paste is formed. Leave the mixture for 5mintues before you use it, it helps the necessary chemical reaction to take place. Keep the mixture away from heat and direct sunlight, and also use it within 4hours. Once the mixture is prepared do not add any further water in order to correct anything, this would reduce the strength of adhesion and increase of its shrinkage. You must keep your tile cleaned and dry when you use them for adhesion, don’t immerse them into water which can decrease the strength of bonding. Now spread the adhesive on the surface and then comb the adhesive layer using a notched spatula, keep the thick around 2-10mm to get the best bond. Within 20min of adhesive layering, place the tiles at its desired place, pressuring firmly in order to ensure full contact. The excess adhesive must be cleaned from the joints prior to drying. During application and for the next 24 hours the temperature must be kept between +5C and +35C. You can start foot traffic on the tiles after 24-48 hours.
